1. What We Collect

If you join an email publication, we collect your email address, the publication you chose, the page you joined from, your consent time and the consent wording version. You may also choose to tell us who you buy for, your organisation and team size, the lots or sales that interest you, your auction experience, what you want help with, your buying timeframe, guide-price range, regions, postcodes and auction houses.

When you create an account, watch a lot or save a search, we store the email connected to that action and the lot or search filters you chose. We also collect the information you voluntarily provide when you contact us, request a service or buy a product. Sending a service enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

With your permission, Google Analytics (GA4) collects usage data including pages visited, time on site and referral sources. With the same analytics choice, our first-party click log records the auction-house domain, lot, guide price, region, page, coarse country and a random per-tab key when you follow an outbound lot link. The key expires with the tab and is not connected to your email or account.

2. Cookies

We use essential cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security and remembering choices you ask us to keep. Google Analytics loads with Consent Mode v2 defaults set to denied, so analytics cookies are not written until you choose “Allow analytics”. Before that choice, or if you choose “Essential only”, Google may still receive a cookieless ping used for modelled measurement. We load our first-party outbound-click measurement only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You can choose “Essential only” or change your decision at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, that beacon is cookieless and does not store advertising or analytics cookies.

3. How We Use Data

We use subscription data to send only the publications and frequency you request. Optional profile answers help us prioritise relevant regions and themes in our briefings, take you to matching live searches, understand who uses AuctionRadar and decide which coverage, tools and reports to improve. Lot watches and saved-search alerts use the exact lot or filters you chose. We do not use these answers to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Analytics data helps us improve our content and understand which auction categories and locations are most popular. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run AuctionRadar, such as our email-list, email-delivery, database, analytics, and hosting providers.

4. External Links

When you click links to auction house websites, those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.

5. Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Email preferences and profile answers are retained while you remain subscribed or keep an account, and until you ask us to delete them, subject to records we must retain for legal, security or suppression-list purposes. Unwatched lots and stopped saved searches remain as inactive records so we do not accidentally restart them.

6. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data. You can change publications, frequency and profile answers in your account, stop a watch or saved search there, and withdraw consent to marketing using an email's unsubscribe link. 7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
